We brought a number of plants from Langa to find a new living space at the Muze Gazhane, Kadikoy. These mostly edible plants were selected based on their appearance in historical literature, cookbooks or farming almanacs that trace back the presence of the plants in Byzantine times. As landscape at Langa goes through transformations over time, these plants keep surviving.

We did not intend to reproduce the historical gardens (bostans) that Langa was famous for. Instead, we wanted to create a new garden that can blend the ones from Langa with ones from Kadikoy. This garden started in June 2022 and already created its micro habitat around it.

Three times a week, we harvest some of the plants (i.e., mint leaves, purslane) and mix it to the water dispenser. The visitors can enjoy the infusion.
